Benalmádena Hosts a Historic Weekend of Taekwon-Do

Benalmádena, Spain, hosted a memorable weekend of ITF Taekwon-Do, combining official recognition, Dan examinations, and technical education under the leadership of Grand Master Adolfo Villanueva.

On Friday, 19 June, an official reception took place at the Benalmádena Town Hall, where Mayor Juan Antonio Lara and Councilor for Sports Alejandro Carretero welcomed Grand Master Adolfo Villanueva. During the ceremony, the Town Hall awarded Grand Master Villanueva the Gold Badge of the City of Benalmádena in recognition of his outstanding career and contribution to the development of Taekwon-Do. In return, Grand Master Villanueva presented the Mayor with the official International Taekwon-Do Federation pin as a symbol of the strong institutional and sporting relationship.

On Saturday, 20 June, the International Examination Board for Instructors and Masters was held with 4 candidates for 4th Dan, 3 for 5th Dan, 2 for 6th Dan, and 1 for 7th Dan. 8th Dan Master Frank Díaz, representative of the Spanish NGB, was present at the examination panel. In the afternoon, Grand Master Villanueva conducted a technical seminar attended by 130 participants from across the country.

The weekend marked another important milestone for Taekwon-Do in Benalmádena, strengthening technical excellence, education, and the continued growth of the ITF community in Spain.
