FAAT Organizes Successful ITF International Courses in Buenos Aires

The International Instructor Course (IIC) and International Umpire Course (IUC), alongside a Theoretical–Practical Seminar on ITF Taekwon-Do and Neuroscience, were successfully conducted from December 12 to 14, 2025, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, under the organization of the Federación Argentina de Asociaciones de Taekwon-Do (FAAT).

More than 100 ITF Dan holders from Buenos Aires, all members of FAAT, took part in the three-day program, which focused on technical development, officiating standards, and the scientific understanding of Taekwon-Do practice. The courses were delivered as planned and received strong positive feedback from all participants.

The event was led by Grand Master Eng. Osvaldo Ríos Olivero, President of the PTC and Vice President of FAAT, with the assistance of Grand Master Carlos Ronconi. The Organizing Committee was headed by Master Gustavo Burgos, whose team ensured the smooth execution of all activities.

The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of senior local authorities from the Almirante Brown government in Buenos Aires, highlighting the strong institutional support for ITF Taekwon-Do. Attending officials included Mayor Juan José Fabiani, Deputy Mariano Cascallares, Juan Crupi (Director of Sports for Almirante Brown), Mauricio Gómez (President of the Municipal Sports Institute of Almirante Brown), and Valeria Ramallo (Delegate of José Mármol). Their participation underscored the importance of Taekwon-Do as a discipline that contributes to education, health, and community development.

Throughout the program, participants engaged in structured theoretical sessions and practical applications, particularly during the seminar linking neuroscience and ITF Taekwon-Do, which provided valuable insights into learning processes, motor skills, and cognitive development. The IIC and IUC sessions further reinforced international standards in instruction and umpiring, strengthening the technical base of ITF practitioners in the region.

At the conclusion of the event, organizers noted the high level of satisfaction among attendees, many of whom expressed appreciation for the depth of knowledge shared and the opportunity for professional growth. The courses were widely regarded as a success, both academically and organizationally.

Once again, ITF Taekwon-Do demonstrated its role as a powerful tool for social development, faithfully upholding the legacy of Gen. Choi Hong Hi and advancing the mission of the ITF under the auspices of the ITF President, Prof. GM Ri Yong Son, to contribute to a better and more peaceful world for the benefit of humanity.
