ITF Leadership Meets with the Prime Minister of Mongolia During the 11th Asian Taekwon-Do Championships

During the 11th Asian Taekwon-Do Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the President of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, accompanied by a delegation of the ITF Headquarters, had the honour of visiting the Office of the Prime Minister of Mongolia, H.E. Mr. Uchral Nyam-Osor. The Prime Minister was awarded the ITF honorary 9th Dan for his contributions to the development and official recognition of ITF.

The ITF delegation was joined by the President of the Asian Taekwon-Do Federation, Mr. Kim Myong Gun, and the President of the European Taekwon-Do Federation, Grand Master Michael Prewett.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views on the continued development of Taekwon-Do in Mongolia and throughout the international community, as well as to discuss opportunities for further cooperation and the important role of sport in bringing people and nations together.

In the course of the Championships, the ITF leadership also had the pleasure of welcoming distinguished representatives and supporters of Mongolian Taekwon-Do to the competition venue, including:

* Mr. Gantulga Dorjdugar – Vice President of the Mongolian Taekwon-Do Federation

* Mr. Chuluundorj Dorjgotov – Vice President of the Mongolian Taekwon-Do Federation

* Mr. Enkhtur Enkhbat – Vice President of the Mongolian Taekwon-Do Federation

* Mr. Uuganbayar Otgonbayar – Director of the Sports Channel of the Mongolian National Broadcaster

* Mr. Enkhbat Altangerel – Vice President of the Mongolian Taekwon-Do Federation

Together, they followed the ongoing competition at the stadium and took part in several meetings and discussions concerning the future development of Taekwon-Do and opportunities for continued cooperation.

The 11th Asian Taekwon-Do Championships once again demonstrated the strong spirit of the Taekwon-Do community in Mongolia and the dedication of everyone involved in the successful organization of this important international event.

The International Taekwon-Do Federation would like to once again extend its heartfelt gratitude to the Mongolian Taekwon-Do Federation and the people of Mongolia for their tremendous efforts, remarkable spirit and warm hospitality throughout the Championships.
