ITF Taekwon-Do Gala Event Held in the Southernmost Province of the World

An ITF Taekwon-Do Gala Event was successfully held in Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego, the southernmost province in the world, on December 15 and 16, marking a meaningful conclusion to the activities of 2025.

Over the two-day program, several important events took place, including a Conference on ITF Taekwon-Do and Neuroscience, a Master Class, and a General Gup and Dan Examination. All activities were led by Grand Master Eng. Osvaldo Ríos Olivero, President of the Promotion and Technical Committee (PTC).

The event was organized by the TOKA–FAAT Branch of Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego, under the direction of Master Santiago Gisser, whose team ensured the successful execution of the program.

The opening and closing activities were honored by the presence of senior representatives of the Municipality of Río Grande, demonstrating strong institutional support for ITF Taekwon-Do. Attending officials included Diego Radwanitzer, Undersecretary of Sports, Antonela Soto, General Director, and Maximiliano Cavia, Director of Combat Sports.

During the event, the municipal authorities expressed their appreciation to GM Eng. Osvaldo Ríos Olivero and the TOKA–FAAT Río Grande Branch, led by Master Santiago Gisser, for their outstanding work and commitment to the development of Taekwon-Do in the region. In turn, the organizers thanked the local authorities and families for their trust and support, emphasizing the role of ITF Taekwon-Do in contributing to the education of children and the personal development of adults who have embraced Taekwon-Do as a philosophy of life.

Once again, ITF Taekwon-Do was showcased as a powerful catalyst for social development.

By promoting these core values worldwide, the organization proudly honors the legacy of Founder General Choi Hong Hi and advances the mission of ITF President, Professor Grand Master Ri Yong Son.
