ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships XXIII – First Day in Jesolo, Italy
The 23rd ITF Taekwon-Do World Championships are soon to be opened in Jesolo, Italy, marking the start of one of the most anticipated events on the ITF calendar. This year’s championship will bring together over 1,200 competitors from 70 countries, each ready to showcase their skill, discipline, and dedication to the art of Taekwon-Do. With the inclusion of umpires, coaches, and officials, the total number of participants has reached an impressive 2,000.
Saturday’s opening day began with an International Technical Seminar conducted by Grand Master Hwang Ho Yong, chairman of the ITF Technical & Education Committee, ITF Tournament Committee and one of the leading figures in international Taekwon-Do education. The seminar will continue with a refresher umpire course conducted by one of the most nobel ITF Grand Master Michael Edward Prewett Deputy Chairman of the ITF Umpire Committee and President of Europe ITF. The seminars provide an invaluable opportunity for high-ranking masters, instructors and umpires to refresh and refine their technical expertise, aligning with the latest developments in ITF Taekwon-Do.
The energy and enthusiasm in Jesolo set the tone for an exciting week ahead, as athletes, officials, and supporters gather to celebrate excellence, unity, and the indomitable spirit of Taekwon-Do.
