Opening Ceremony at the 2026 ITF Taekwon-Do World Cup, in Turkistan, Kazakhstan

The 2026 ITF Taekwon-Do World Cup has officially begun in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, bringing together the international ITF family for an exciting week of competition and Taekwon-Do.

Following the final preparations, the 2026 ITF Taekwon-Do World Cup was officially opened by ITF President Prof. Grand Master Ri Yong Son, together with the President of the Kazakhstan Taekwon-Do Association, Master Yerlan Issekeshev, in the host city of Turkistan.

The opening ceremony welcomed athletes, coaches, officials, and guests to Kazakhstan and featured a Taekwon-Do demonstration by the Korean Demonstration Team, alongside performances by other distinguished Taekwon-Do practitioners.

With the preparations completed and the World Cup officially opened, the stage is now set for the competitions in Turkistan. The International Taekwon-Do Federation extends it's heartfelt gratitude to the organizers, as well as coaches, umpires, officials, and participants, that make this event possible and wished a successful World Cup, fair competition, and a memorable stay in Kazakhstan.
