International Taekwon‑Do Federation

Gathering in Kangerlussuaq, 9th to 13th of May 2024

There were 36 representatives from clubs' boards, coaches and committee members participated in this year's gathering which this year is the fourth of its kind.

The headlines in this year's gathering were:

* Evaluation of our strategy that runs from 2022 to 2025.

* Being a coach and the coach's wishes.

* Members - training methods, facilities, equipment, and cooperation between boards and coaches.

* Committees in our federation - Work with identification and adaptation of procedures at tournaments.

* Children's policy of The Sports Confederation of Greenland

We are grateful that the clubs have shown great interest in the headlines and given us lots of valuable inputs.

All the subjects have been important. One of the most important areas coach Louis Nielsen has put into words:

"They've gotten better than before, we can't compete on an equal footing with everyone, but it's good that that's not the purpose, the purpose is for our members to make progress, they've gotten better than before, and they still come with pleasure.

Improving as an athlete is a victory, but it is a great joy to see young people with increased self-confidence, physical abilities, and a respectful and good moral attitude.

Trainers who attend these courses and seminars have demonstrated that they are capable of training others and that they are capable of training themselves. It is a pleasure when coaches and the board have a good and respectful cooperation. This gives strength to work with objectives.

I take my hat off to supportive parents who bring their kids and attend practice. Sometimes it ends up with the parents themselves becoming members."
