The 3rd ITF Taekwon‑Do Gandaki Provincial Championship and 1st ITF Taekwon‑Do Kaski District Championship-2023 has been successfully concluded at Pokhara, Kaski, Nepal
There are participated 350 ITF players and coaches and 25 Umpires for the District and provincial championship. The championship inaugurated by Chief guest Hon’able Dig Bahadur Limbu, Minister of Federal Youth and Sports Ministry, Special Guest Hon’able, Jit Sherchan, Member of Gandaki Provincial Assembly, Hon’able Dorna Kumar Kunwar, Member of Gandaki Provincial Assembly, Hon’able Lila Bahadur Thapa, Member of Gandaki Provincial Assembly, Hon’able Rajip Gurung, Member of Gandaki Provincial Assembly, Hon’able Praksh Baral, Member of Gandaki Provincial Assembly, District Chief Officer of Kaski Mr. Basudev Ghimire, Mr. Shreedhar Sharma, Member Secretary of Gandaki Province Sport Council, Mr. Khadga Ranabhat, Mr. Rajesh Gurung, Board Member of National Sports Council, Founder President of Nepal ITF and former Board Member of National Sports Council Mr. Khadga Ranabhat and other sports personalities and journalists and others our invited guest.
The championship was concluded by Chief guest, representative of house and former Federal Education Minister of Federal Government Hon’able Devendra Paudel, Special guest, Member of Gandaki Provincial Assembly and former Gandaki Province Youth and Sports Minister Hon’able Rajiv Gurung, Special guest, Khadga Ranabhat, Founder president of Nepal ITF and former Board Member of National Sports Council, Special Gust Mr. Dhojraj Gurung, Vice President of Gandaki Province Sports Council, Guest Mr. Khagendra Kshetri, Board Member board member of Gandkai Province Sports Council, Central Member of Nepal Sabum Kisor Barun, Sabum Raj Mandir Shretha and other guest and representatives of ITF district committees and sports personalities.
In the championship, The 3rd Taekwondo ITF Gandaki Provincial Championship and 1st ITF Taekwondo Kaski District ITF Championship -2023 concluded with great success at Pokhara Rangashala from June 16th to 18th, 2023.
The team champion trophy was claimed by Syangja District, securing 10 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze medals. Baglung District secured the second position with 6 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals, while Nawalparasi District became the third team champion with 5 gold, 8 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
Miss Monika Kunwar from Tanahun honored with the best female player award while Manish reshmi magar from syangja received the best male player award in the Provincial Championship.
Likewise in District Championship, Sainik ITF Taekwondo Dojang became the team champion with 11 Gold medal, 4 silver and three bronze medals. Whereas Anjuli ITF Taekwondo Dojang became a second team champion with 10 gold, 7silver and 6 bronze medals. The championship was organized under the chairmanship of Gham Bahadur Thapa Magar.
The program concluded with immense struggle and hard work, achieving a resounding success. This tournament stands as one of the greatest in history marking a significant milestone. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the referees and officials for their exceptional contributions. Furthermore, we express our thanks to the supporters, sports personalities, referee officials, journalist, chief guest , special guest and all esteemed individuals who have played a role in making this day truly historic.
