A New Initiative by the Tunisian Taekwondo Committee

The Tunisian Taekwondo Committee is proud to announce the success of its recent outreach programs aimed at promoting Taekwondo ITF in underserved and densely populated regions across Tunisia.

This initiative, which focused on introducing the sport to areas that have previously had limited exposure to Taekwondo, has already shown promising results.

In particular, training camps and demonstrations held in the cities of Sidi Bouzid, Sbeitla, and Gafsa have garnered enthusiastic participation, with attendees expressing their excitement at discovering the true essence of Taekwondo.

For many of the participants in these regions, the camp marked their first exposure to the sport. The training sessions not only provided them with a deeper understanding of Taekwondo, but also introduced them to its rich history, philosophy, and the specific techniques of the ITF (International Taekwondo Federation) style, which remains an essential part of the sport's heritage.

The program’s success was met with great appreciation by both the participants and the local communities. In all three cities, the number of attendees exceeded expectations, indicating a growing interest in Taekwondo as a physical activity and an avenue for personal development.

Furthermore, the program has now entered a new phase with the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the Tunisian Taekwondo Committee and the Ministry of Education. This collaboration aims to integrate Taekwondo ITF into the school system through a series of physical education classes for both primary and secondary school students. Under the agreement, qualified physical education teachers with certified Taekwondo skills will deliver dynamic lessons designed to engage students and cultivate a love for the sport.

This initiative marks a significant step towards not only spreading Taekwondo across Tunisia but also ensuring its long-term sustainability and development. By targeting schools in these rural and densely populated regions, the program is providing children and young adults with an opportunity to engage in a sport that promotes discipline, respect, and physical well-being.

With the ongoing support of the Ministry of Education, the Tunisian Taekwondo Committee hopes to reach even more regions in the coming months, continuing to introduce the sport to areas where it has had little or no presence. The committee also aims to foster a new generation of Taekwondo athletes and enthusiasts, encouraging them to pursue the sport at both the national and international levels.

This partnership between the Tunisian Taekwondo Committee and the Ministry of Education is an exciting development in the world of sports in Tunisia. It provides an opportunity not only to improve the physical fitness of the population but also to build a stronger sense of community and national pride through the universal language of Taekwondo.

As the program continues to grow, the committee remains committed to providing these underserved regions with access to quality Taekwondo training, ensuring that the sport reaches every corner of Tunisia and that its benefits are available to all.

The Tunisian Taekwondo Committee is excited about the future of Taekwondo in Tunisia and looks forward to seeing the lasting impact of this initiative across the country.
