International Taekwon‑Do Federation
After a forced 4-year break, a regular ITF International Technical Seminar (ITS) conducted by Grand Master Hwang Ho Yong 9th Degree was finally held again in Prague, Czechia. The English translation for foreign participants was provided by Masters Martin Zamecnik 7th Degree and Ondrej Vrabel 7th Degree.
There were over 50 participants in attendance, mainly from Czechia, but also from Austria, Denmark, England, Hungary, Ireland, the Netherlands and Poland, including Grand Master Wayne Brown 9th Degree, ITF England president, and Master Slawomir Gruszczynski 8th Degree, ITF Poland president.
The seminar started on Friday afternoon with a thorough explanation of basic Taekwon‑Do theory and technical terminology, including the important Theory of Power, followed by a practical training of various fundamental techniques. On Saturday morning, after more fundamental techniques, the usual pattern execution and correction program started with the pattern Chon-Ji and ended in the afternoon with the pattern Choong-Moo. Later in the evening, the participants enjoyed a semi-formal dinner with Grand Master Hwang Ho Yong that was prepared in the hotel congress restaurant. On Sunday morning, black-belt patterns from Kwang-Gae to Yon-gae were explained and corrected by GM Hwang.
The seminar was successfully concluded by black-belt examinations on Sunday afternoon.
On behalf of the Czech Taekwon‑Do Federation, we would like to express our gratitude to all seminar participants and we look forward to seeing you at the next ITF event in Czechia.
