The Tunisian Taekwondo Committee recently hosted two pivotal training camps in Hammamet to enhance the skills of referees, coaches, and instructors across the country. These camps aimed to strengthen both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise, ensuring the continued growth and development of Taekwondo in Tunisia.

Referee Training Camp Highlights
Held on November 2–3, 2024, the first camp focused on referees and attracted 52 participants. The training emphasized mastering the rules and regulations of Taekwondo and highlighted the role of referees in maintaining fairness and integrity during matches. Attendees gained vital skills for officiating, ensuring high standards in future competitions.

Coaches and Instructors Training Camp
On November 9–10, 2024, the second camp catered to 64 coaches and their assistants, many of whom were new to the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF). This camp covered advanced training techniques, athlete development strategies, and mental preparation. Sessions also explored Taekwondo’s history, principles, and its prospects in Tunisia, leaving participants inspired and well-informed.

Comprehensive Training Approach
The training camps stood out due to their integration of both theoretical and practical elements. Participants attended lectures on the history and fundamentals of Taekwondo, alongside practical sessions on first aid to prepare them for handling injuries during training or competitions. Expert university professors delivered lessons on modern coaching techniques, anatomy, psychology, and physiology, deepening attendees' understanding of the scientific foundations behind effective training.

Practical sessions included hands-on training in Taekwondo’s core movements and methods for teaching these techniques effectively. Referees and coaches also learned how to interact with athletes professionally, ensuring they could offer proper guidance in both practice and competitive settings.
