Capacity-Building Seminar Concludes with the Participation of 30 Umpires from the National ITF 

Taekwon‑Do Federation

The Capacity-Building Seminar for Umpires of the National ITF Taekwon‑Do Federation, organized by the National ITF Taekwon‑Do Federation in collaboration with the General Directorate of Olympics, Physical Education, and Sports, successfully concluded after a week of training. A total of 30 umpires from Kabul, Kunduz, and Maidan Wardak provinces participated in the seminar.

Mr. Azizullah Sharokhi, Administrative Deputy of the National ITF Taekwon‑Do Federation of Afghanistan, provided insights into the organization of umpire training seminars for referees.

Additionally, Mr. Mohammad Basheer Sahar, Secretary-General of the National ITF Taekwon‑Do Federation of Afghanistan, shared valuable information about national, international, and global ITF competitions and seminars.

During the seminar, participants received training on various topics, including:

• Officiating in competitions

• Standard and international-level refereeing

• Compliance with ITF Taekwon‑Do rules and regulations

• Ensuring neutrality in judging

The certificate awarding ceremony was held in the presence of Mawlawi Atiqullah Khalid, Director of Physical Education and Sports of Kabul Province, along with the leadership team, federation officials, and participating umpires.

Speaking at the event, Mawlawi Atiqullah Khalid described the seminar as a positive step towards enhancing the capacity of umpires. He also encouraged referees to conduct sports activities within the framework of Islamic values.

Furthermore, Master Shoaib Rahmani, President of the National ITF Taekwon‑Do Federation of Afghanistan, official representative of the International ITF Federation,, highlighted future plans for umpires and sports officials.

The primary objective of this seminar was to enhance the capacity of umpires. At the end of the event, certificates of officiating were awarded to the participating referees.
