International Taekwon‑Do Federation

In a significant development for the Iran ITF Taekwon‑Do Federation, a recent presidential election has ushered in a new era of leadership. Mr. Hassan Ghamgosar emerged victorious in the election, securing the position of the new president. He will now serve as the sole representative of the International Taekwon‑Do Federation in Iran.

The founder of Iran ITF Taekwon‑Do Federation and the co-founder of Iran ITF Association  , Master Hossein Farid Sabbagh, an exemplary leader who held top executive positions for an impressive 18 years, has been elected as the honorary life president. Master Sabbagh, in his congratulatory speech to the newly elected president, urged every member to uphold and enhance solidarity and integration. He emphasized the importance of supporting the new administration in their efforts to elevate the practice of ITF Taekwon‑Do under the throughout Iran. He sees this as a meaningful contribution to both the nation and its people.

Emphasizing the paramount importance of following in the footsteps of the father of Taekwon‑Do, the late General Choi Hong Hi. He underlined the significance of adhering to the principles of original Taekwon‑Do, a legacy passionately promoted by the International Taekwon‑Do Federation under the esteemed presidency of Grand master Professor Ri Yong Son. Master Farid urged every member to emulate the core tenets of Takeon-Do, considering them as guiding lights on the path to excellence in both individual practice and collective growth, he also added the significance of etiquette and morality, Master Farid encouraged every Iran ITF member to become a peace and morality envoy of ITF Taekwon‑Do, promoting these values across the entire country 

Mr. Hassan Ghamgosar, the newly elected president, called upon all original ITF members in Iran to actively participate in the expansion and improvement of original ITF Taekwon‑Do in the country. During his address, President Ghamgosar outlined his pre-planned actions for the development of ITF in Iran. He also expressed his commitment to continuing and completing previous initiatives aimed at fostering the growth of ITF Taekwon‑Do.

The new administration of Iran ITF boasts a diverse array of faces, bringing together individuals with backgrounds in ITF technical expertise, law, various martial arts, and management. Notable figures include Mr. Davoud Vartouri and Mrs. M. Lalgolestani as Vice Presidents, Dr. Ali Farshadsepehr as the Secretary General, and Mr. Hamidreza Madani as Treasurer, who previously served as vice president for seven years.

As the new leadership takes the reins, the entire Iran ITF community wishes them success in their endeavors to further the art of ITF Taekwon‑Do and strengthen its presence across the nation.
